The Window Upgrader

What to expect

How it works

No surprises and no pressure. Every step, how long it takes, and — just as importantly — who is responsible for each one.

  1. 1We do thisUnder a minute

    You send a request

Five quick questions: what you're replacing, roughly how many openings, your timeline, and your ZIP code.

    • We ask about openings and timeline so the installer arrives prepared rather than guessing.
    • You'll be asked to confirm you own the home. Estimates need the homeowner present, because they're the only person who can authorize work.
    • No payment information is collected at any point, by us or by them.
  2. 2We do thisImmediately

    We match one installer

We find a licensed, insured installer covering your ZIP and pass your request to exactly one of them. You also get a confirmation email straight away.

    • One installer. We don't resell your request or list it to a bidding pool, so your phone doesn't ring all week.
    • We verify state licensing and liability insurance before an installer can receive a request.
    • If nobody covers your ZIP yet, we tell you rather than handing it to someone two hours away.
  3. 3Your installer60 to 90 minutes

    Their estimator visits

Someone from the installer comes to the house, measures every opening, and shows you frame and glass options in person rather than in a brochure.

    • You get an itemized written price you keep, whether or not you buy.
    • They should walk you through programs you may qualify for, including the federal energy credit and Florida state programs.
    • If your existing windows are in good shape, a good estimator will say so.
  4. 4Your callNo deadline

    You decide, on your schedule

Take the written quote, compare it, sleep on it. A price that expires when the estimator leaves your driveway is a sales tactic, not a price.

    • The full price should be on paper before you commit, with nothing that appears only after you sign.
    • Nothing is ordered until you approve final measurements and price in writing.
    • Any contract you sign is between you and the installer. We are not a party to it.
  5. 5Your installerA few weeks, then one to two days on site

    They build and install

Units are manufactured to your exact opening dimensions, then installed, sealed, and cleaned up, with the old units hauled away.

    • Your installer pulls the required permits and coordinates inspection.
    • Ask for a walkthrough at the end to confirm every unit operates and locks correctly before anyone leaves.
  6. 6Your installerOngoing

    Warranty and follow-up

Manufacturer coverage on the product, and a separate written workmanship warranty on the installation. Two different things, and you want both in writing.

    • Keep your paperwork. If you installed impact-rated products you'll need it for the wind mitigation inspection that triggers any insurance credit.
    • Warranty claims go to your installer, since they did the work and hold the contract. If you can't reach them, tell us and we'll help you chase it.
