Privacy Policy

The short version

You give us your project details and contact information. We pass them to one local licensed installer so they can quote your job. We do not sell your information, and we do not distribute it to a network of contractors who then compete for your attention. We contact you by phone and email only. We never send text messages.

Who we are

The Window Upgrader is an estimate-matching service operated by Inertia Digital Marketing, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. We are not a contractor and we do not perform installation work. This policy covers www.thewindowupgrader.com and the landing pages we operate under it.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Your name, phone number, and email address.
• Your ZIP code.
• Project details: whether you’re replacing windows, doors, or both; approximately how many openings; your timeline; and whether you own the home.
• Anything else you choose to tell us in an email or on a call with a representative.

Information collected automatically

• Your IP address and browser user agent at the moment you submit a form. We keep this as part of the record of your request.
• How you arrived: the advertising campaign, source, and landing page, via URL parameters and referring page.
• Basic analytics about pages viewed. We do not use this to build a profile of you across other websites.

Your consent record

When you submit a request we store an exact copy of the disclosure text displayed on the page at that moment, along with the date, time, IP address, and browser you used. We keep this so that if there is ever a question about whether you asked to be contacted, the answer is a matter of record rather than of memory. This record is kept even if you later ask us to stop contacting you, because it is the evidence that the contact was authorized in the first place.

What we never collect

• Payment card details, bank details, or Social Security numbers. We never ask for these, and no legitimate estimate request requires them.
• Your credit score or a credit application. Payment arrangements are made directly with your installer.

How we use it

• To match you with one local licensed installer who covers your ZIP code.
• To send you a single automated confirmation email immediately after you submit a request.
• To contact you by phone or email about the request you submitted.
• To measure which advertising works, in aggregate. This does not involve sharing your contact details with advertising platforms.
• To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

Who we share it with

One installer

Your request is sent to a single licensed installer serving your area. Not two, not five. Once we pass your details to them, that installer becomes an independent controller of your information and handles it under their own privacy practices. If you want to know how they store or use your data, ask them directly.

Service providers

We use third parties to run this service, and they only receive what they need to do their job:

• Hosting and database. Our site and lead records are hosted with infrastructure providers in the United States.
• Email delivery. Confirmation emails and internal notifications are sent by an email service provider.
• Consent verification. We may use an independent service to time-stamp and certify form submissions.

Legal requests

We will disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to investigate fraud or protect someone’s safety.

Business transfer

If this business is sold or merged, lead records may transfer as part of that transaction. Any acquirer would be bound by this policy for information collected under it, and you would be notified of a change in ownership.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information, and we have not in the preceding twelve months.
• We do not share your request with multiple contractors. One installer, always.
• We do not send text messages to consumers, ever. If you receive a text claiming to be from us, it is not from us.
• We do not use automated dialers or prerecorded voice messages. When we call, it is a live person.
• We do not share your contact details with advertising platforms for retargeting.

How long we keep it

Lead records, including the consent record, are retained for five years from your last interaction with us. That period reflects the statute of limitations that applies to telephone consumer protection claims, so we can demonstrate that contact was authorized. After that, records are deleted or de-identified.

If you ask us to stop contacting you, we keep a minimal suppression record of your phone number and email indefinitely. We have to, in order to honor the request: a deleted record would let a future submission reintroduce you to contact you asked to end.

Your choices and rights

Stopping contact

Email hello@thewindowupgrader.com and ask us to stop. We honor removal requests immediately. Note that we can only stop our contact — if an installer has already received your request, ask them separately, since they control their own records.

Access, correction, and deletion

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first, which usually means confirming details of the request you submitted. We may retain the consent record and suppression entry as described above even after other data is deleted.

Florida and other state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, including the right to know what we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Since we do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no opt-out to exercise on those points, but the other rights are available to you on request.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Making a privacy request will not affect whether or how we match you with an installer.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working and to understand which advertisements bring people here. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you across unrelated websites. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies; the site will still work, though some measurement will be incomplete.

Children

This service is for homeowners and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Lead records are stored in an access-controlled database, encrypted in transit and at rest, with access limited to people who need it to operate the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by law.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant — for example, a new category of recipient — we will make that clear rather than quietly editing the text.
